Havana (Cuba), August 11, 2025 (SPS) – A delegation from Students' Union of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro (UESARIO) took part in the International Forum in Solidarity with the Cuban People, held in Havana on August 8 and 9.
The event was organized by the Continental Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Students (OCLAE) in collaboration with the Young Communist League of Cuba, with broad participation from student and youth organizations across Latin America, Europe, and Africa.
The program included intellectual and cultural activities, field visits, and official meetings, where representatives of the Students' Union delegation engaged with various international organizations participating in the event.
During the forum, members of the Sahrawi delegation emphasized that their participation reflects the deep historical and militant ties between the Sahrawi Students' Union and OCLAE. They also highlighted how this event strengthens international solidarity with just causes, foremost among them the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
The Students' Union delegation was led by two members of its Foreign Relations Committee: Abdallah Mohamed Sheikh and Edhiya Mohamed El Beikem.
