
Algiers, 17 July 2025 (SPS) - The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Thursday at the ministry’s headquarters, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Yeslem Beïssat, the Algerian ministry said in a press release.
The meeting enabled “to examine the latest developments of the Western Sahara question in light of UN efforts aimed at enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their inalienable and imprescriptible right to self-determination, in accordance with the relevant resolutions of international legality issued by the General Assembly or the Security Council of the United Nations,” added the press release.
The two ministers discussed the key issues at the level of the African Union (AU), said the press release.
The meeting was attended on the Sahrawi side by the Ambassador to Algeria, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Khatri Addouh, and the First Secretary at the Embassy, Mohamed Sheikh, and on the Algerian side by officials from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
