Shaheed El Hafed, 13 September 2026 (SPS) – The official opening ceremonies for the 2026/2027 school year were held today, Sunday, across the various wilayas in the Sahrawi refugee camps, in the presence of local authorities, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, teaching staff, and students’ parents.
The Minister of Education and Vocational Training, National Secretariat member, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, officially launched the new school year from Auserd Wilaya, stressing the need to provide all necessary resources to ensure a successful academic year.
The regional authorities in the various wilayas organized regional meetings bringing together education-sector staff and administrators and students’ parents. The meetings focused on issues related to the new school year and explored ways to enhance educational performance and improve schooling conditions.
The first day of the 2026/2027 school year was marked by a suitable organizational and educational atmosphere, with the presence of teaching staff and students’ parents. The atmosphere reflected preparations for a new start to the educational process and a commitment to ensuring students’ right to education and providing appropriate conditions for academic achievement.
