Shaheed El Hafed, 11 September 2026 (SPS) — Minister of Education and Vocational Training, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, on Friday affirmed during an interview with the Sahrawi Press Service (SPS) that various arrangements and preparations are progressing at full speed to ensure a successful and well-organized start to the new academic year, meeting the aspirations of students and the educational community while enhancing the quality of the educational and vocational training process.
In an extensive interview with SPS, the minister clarified that the ongoing preparations cover various aspects related to the start of the school year, including preparing educational institutions, providing educational materials and supplies, and making arrangements for educational and pedagogical supervision, in order to ensure suitable conditions for welcoming students at the beginning of the academic year.
The minister addressed the main features of the new academic year and the programmes planned to develop the education system, as well as efforts to improve academic achievement, enhance schooling conditions, and strengthen the role of schools in building an educated generation committed to its national identity.
He also reviewed the various measures adopted to ensure the smooth functioning of the educational process, stressing the importance of coordination between the sector and its partners to provide an appropriate learning environment and achieve the objectives set for the new academic year.
