Shaheed El Hafed, 18 July 2026 (SPS) – Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, President of the National Council, Mr. Bachir Mustapha Sayed, sent two messages of condolence and sympathy to the President of the Algerian Council of the Nation, Mr. Azouz Nasri, and the President of the Algerian People's National Assembly, Mr. Brahim Boughali, following the tragic fire that broke out at a children's care facility, claiming the lives of several children and injuring others.
In his two messages, the President of the Sahrawi National Council expressed his profound sorrow and deep emotion over this painful tragedy, extending, in his own name and on behalf of the members of the Sahrawi National Council, and through the Speakers of the two chambers of the Algerian Parliament, his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Algerian leadership, the brotherly Algerian people and the families of the victims.
The President of the National Council affirmed that the Sahrawi people share this great tragedy with their Algerian brothers, based on the bonds of sincere brotherhood, unity of principles and destiny, and a shared history. He stressed that what has befallen Algeria is also a tragedy for the Sahrawi people, and that hardships only further strengthen the fraternal relations between the two peoples.
