President Brahim Ghali congratulates Mozambican counterpart on 51st Independence Anniversary

Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), 25 June 2026 (SPS) – President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has extended his congratulations to the President of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo, and to the Mozambican people on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the country's independence.

In a congratulatory message addressed to President Chapo, President Ghali conveyed the sincere congratulations of the Sahrawi people and government, reaffirming the strong historical ties between the two countries, forged through their shared struggle for freedom, decolonization, and resistance to foreign domination.

The Sahrawi President stressed that the common values and principles upheld by the Sahrawi Republic and Mozambique continue to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two nations in pursuit of a fully independent Africa.

President Ghali also expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations linking the Sahrawi Republic and Mozambique, highlighting the longstanding bonds between the liberation movements of the two countries, the Polisario Front and FRELIMO, as well as the close ties between their governments and peoples.

Reaffirming the Sahrawi Republic's appreciation for these historic relations, President Ghali wished the Mozambican people continued success, prosperity, development, and stability under President Chapo's leadership.
