Shaheed El Hafed, June 17, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Preparatory Committee for the 5th Congress of the Sahrawi Students’ Union (UESARIO), Khlehen Ahmed Al-Ghazwani, indicated Tuesday in a declaration to the Sahrawi Press Service (SPS) that the congress will be held from August 5 to 7, in El Aaiun Wilaya.
The congress will be held under the slogan “Sahrawi Students: Dedication and Steadfastness to Assert Our Existence,” and will bear the name of the martyr Abdelrahim Badri.
The President of the Preparatory Committee also indicated that, alongside the congress proceedings, an International Student Solidarity Forum with the Sahrawi People will be organized, with broad participation from youth and student organizations as well as civil society actors. The aim is to strengthen solidarity with the Sahrawi cause and highlight the pivotal role of the Sahrawi student movement in the struggles for liberation and nation-building.
