Smara Wilaya, May 18, 2026 (SPS) – The educational system in the wilaya of Smara has benefited from a new educational facility inaugurated on Sunday by member of the National Secretariat, Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, in a step reflecting efforts to bring educational services closer to the targeted population.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by regional and local authorities, a delegation from the central administration of the ministry, as well as representatives of the funding partners, namely the Government of the Balearic Islands and the Friendship Association of the Balearic Islands with the Sahrawi people.
In his speech, Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar stressed that this educational achievement reflects the determination of the Sahrawi state to develop the education sector and ensure that this essential service is brought closer to children. He also highlighted the strength of cooperation and partnership relations with friends and supporters of the Sahrawi people, expressing gratitude to the Government of the Balearic Islands and the Friendship Association with the Sahrawi people for their contribution to the realization of this important project.
