Wilaya of El Aaiún, May 1, 2026 (SPS) – The Secretary-General of the General Union of Workers of Saguia el-Hamra and Rio de Oro (UGTSARIO), Mr. Nafei Mohamed, affirmed that the rights of Sahrawi workers are an integral part of the struggle for Sahrawi national building.
He made this statement during a speech at the events commemorating International Workers’ Day held in the wilaya of El Aaiún.
The UGTSARIO Secretary-General addressed the current situation of Sahrawi workers, particularly within national institutions.
Regarding the condition of Sahrawi workers, Mr. Nafei Mohamed denounced the harsh conditions faced by Sahrawi workers in the occupied part of Western Sahara, under the pressure of the methods employed by the Moroccan occupying forces.
