Shaheed El-Hafed, April 13, 2026 (SPS) – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Public Health, Salek Mohamed Omar, received today, Monday, an Italian delegation from the Emilia-Romagna region.
The delegation was briefed on the programs linking the Ministry of Public Health and the region, particularly those related to school health programs in the refugee camps. The delegation reviewed statistics presented by the School Health Mission of the Ministry, covering all figures recorded since its work began in schools and Quranic institutions, with comprehensive explanations provided about the entire program.
The delegation, which includes regional deputies and members of political parties from various municipalities of the Emilia-Romagna region, expressed their continued solidarity with and support for the Sahrawi people, as well as the strong relationship between the region and the Ministry of Public Health.
The meeting was attended by the Polisario Front’s representative in Italy, Fatimetou Hafezla, along with specialized doctors from the Ministry of Public Health.
