Shaheed El Hafed, April 4, 2026 (SPS) – The member of the National Secretariat, President of the National Council, Mr. Bachir Mustapha Sayed, received today, Saturday, at the headquarters of the National Council, a parliamentary delegation from the Spanish region of Murcia.
The delegation represents the solidarity movement with the Sahrawi people, including members of parliament, various political groups, civil society, and media representatives.
The President of the National Council provided a comprehensive briefing on the work of the Council and stressed the importance of activating parliamentary diplomacy to enhance parliamentary relations and promote awareness of the Sahrawi cause across various parliamentary platforms in Spain.
The meeting addressed the latest developments in the national cause and ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the fields of parliamentary work, alleviating the suffering of the Sahrawi people in refugee camps, and expanding humanitarian support to include education, healthcare, and essential daily services.
For their part, the members of the Spanish delegation reaffirmed their support for the Sahrawi cause and their solidarity with the Sahrawi people.
