Wilaya of Dakhla, 26 March 2026 (SPS) – Urgent measures have been approved to deal with the consequences of the rainfall in the wilaya of Dakhla, following a meeting held by the Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Bouchraya Hammoudi Beyoun, with the authorities of the wilaya.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of the Interior, Ibrahim Beila, and the Central Director of Civil Protection, Ali Rahel El-Hussein.
The Governor of the wilaya of Dakhla, Mohamed Sheikh Mohamed Lahbib, presented a briefing on the measures taken to protect citizens and their property and to manage the impact of the rainfall.
In his instructions to the provincial authorities, the Prime Minister stressed the need to fully take care of the affected citizens and the losses they suffered.
In this context, he also emphasized the need to address the situation by assessing the damage to homes and public facilities and pumping water out of them.
Civil protection teams continue to pump water out of public facilities that were flooded and to secure safe routes for movement.
