Dakhla Wilaya, March 20, 2026 (SPS) – The Sahrawi people welcomed today, Friday, the blessed Eid al-Fitr after a month of fasting, night prayers, and other acts of worship.
Prayer grounds were filled with large crowds of worshippers in a spiritual atmosphere marked by tolerance, compassion, and the exchange of greetings on this joyful day.
All the wilayas witnessed a large turnout from different segments of society at the prayer areas designated for performing this religious ritual.
The Eid sermons emphasized the rulings and etiquette related to the holiday, its religious purposes, and the great meanings of Eid al-Fitr, which represents a renewed opportunity for compassion, communication, love, and for purifying hearts from resentment, hatred, and envy.
The Eid preachers also called for strengthening the religious and social values that reinforce bonds of love, harmony, and cooperation among members of the same community, and for rejecting negative behaviors in all their forms.
The preachers further highlighted that the situation of the Sahrawi people under Moroccan occupation requires all its members to continuously strive to preserve unity, close ranks, strengthen brotherhood, and confront hostile enemies.
