Sahrawi Ambassador to Mexico reviews latest developments of Sahrawi cause with officials at Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Mexico, February 14, 2026 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Ambassador to Mexico, Mr. Mohamed Salem Abdel Samad, held a meeting at the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which he reviewed the latest developments concerning the Sahrawi cause.

The Sahrawi diplomat addressed recent developments and updates regarding the Sahrawi issue, praising Mexico’s position toward the Sahrawi cause.

He highlighted the suffering of the Sahrawi people in the occupied cities, particularly the political prisoners held in Moroccan prisons.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Ambassador Aníbal Gómez Toledo, Director General for Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East; H.E. Jorge Antonio Delgado, Director for Africa; and Isabel Torres, Head of Department.

During the meeting, the Director General reaffirmed the firm position and the historic bilateral relations between Mexico and the Sahrawi Republic, as well as Mexico’s interest in following all developments related to the Sahrawi issue.
