Basque (Spain), 6 February 2026 (SPS) – The Secretary General of the Union of Youth of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro (UJSARIO), Mr. Ali Mohamed Salem, held meetings with Basque youth organizations that maintain relations of friendship and cooperation with UJSARIO.
During the meetings, which were attended by the representative of the Polisario Front in the Basque Country, views were exchanged on the latest developments of the Sahrawi cause, as well as on strengthening relations of solidarity and political and media support for the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination. The discussions also addressed prospects for joint cooperation in youth and organizational fields.
The Secretary General underscored the important role played by youth and parliamentary forces in the Basque Country in supporting the struggle of the Sahrawi people, praising the steadfast solidarity positions expressed by these bodies toward the Sahrawi people’s just cause.
