President Brahim Ghali receives credentials of new Venezuelan Ambassador to Sahrawi Republic

Shaheed El-Hafed, February 4, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received the credentials of Mr. Emad Saab Saab on the occasion of his appointment as Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Sahrawi Republic.

The reception ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, in accordance with established procedures and protocols. Units of the Sahrawi Army rendered the ceremonial salute, after which Mr. Emad Saab Saab presented his credentials to President Brahim Ghali in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of his country to the Sahrawi Republic.

Following the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Emad Saab Saab gave a statement to the media, saying: “We are here in the Sahrawi Republic to present my credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Sahrawi Republic. I had the great honor of being received by the Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs, with whom we discussed the diplomatic, cultural, and historical relations and areas of cooperation existing between the two countries.”

The ambassador added: “We held excellent talks with the President of the Sahrawi Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali,” noting that the discussions focused on relations between Venezuela and the Sahrawi Republic, as well as the geopolitical situation and developments in Venezuela.

The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat; the Ambassador and Director of Presidential Protocol, Salha El-Abd; and the Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmidouha Mohamed Ahmed Zine.
