Shaheed El-Hafed, 02 February 2026 (SPS) — The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, sent a message of congratulations to his Algerian counterpart, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in which he expressed his congratulations on the occasion of the launch of the Gara Djebilet mining railway line.
In his congratulatory message, President Brahim Ghali said: “A distinguished, special, and exceptional occasion in the history of Algeria—such as the official launch of the western mining railway line Gara Djebilet–Tindouf–Béchar—cannot pass without seizing the opportunity to extend to Your Excellency, and through you to all of Algeria, government and people, my warmest congratulations and sincerest wishes for further progress, advancement, and prosperity.”
“It is a great honor for the Sahrawi people to share with their Algerian brothers these exceptional moments, which embody the first phase of a comprehensive national project covering the entire Algerian territory, on the path toward building the New Algeria—the strong Algeria—drawing inspiration from the values and principles of the glorious 1st of November Revolution, taking its rightful place in the region, and fulfilling its leading and respected role on the international stage.”
“In the Sahrawi Republic, we look forward to strengthening the deep-rooted relations of brotherhood, friendship, and good neighborliness between our two countries, in a manner that serves the interests of our two brotherly peoples, as well as the peoples and countries of the region and their aspirations for peace, security, stability, and prosperity,” added President Brahim Ghali.
