Shaheed El-Hafed, 26 January 2026 (SPS) – The National Committee overseeing the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic held a meeting today, Monday, chaired by the Prime Minister, President of the Committee, member of the National Secretariat, Bushraya Hammoudi Bayoun.
During the meeting, the Political and Media Committee presented its practical program, which includes a detailed timetable for commemorating the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic across the various wilayas and national institutions. The Committee called on all parties to join efforts to ensure the success of this event, which highlights the status of the Sahrawi State within its regional and continental environment.
The Committee added that the Ministries of National Defense, Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, the Occupied Territories and Diaspora Affairs are preparing detailed schedules in accordance with the specific nature of each institution.
The Committee also reviewed in detail the roadmap for commemorating the event at all levels—local, regional, and central—as well as the key milestones that will accompany the commemoration of the anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic.
