Donostia, 18 January 2026 (SPS) – The 2026 Vacaciones en Paz campaign was launched Sunday morning under the slogan “with our doors open and their hope alive” in the Gandi Hall of the emblematic Aiete Palace.
At a press conference with significant coverage from local media, the organizers and spokespersons of the program presented the summer initiative that each year welcomes hundreds of Sahrawi boys and girls from the Sahrawi Refugee Camps.
In her speak, the Deputy Delegate in Euskadi, Fatma Mohamed Salem, conveyed the gratitude of the Sahrawi people to the Basque families for their solidarity and constant hospitality, and invited everyone to redouble their efforts in support of one of the most beautiful and long-standing projects, for the benefit of Sahrawi children and families.
