Shaheed El-Hafed, January 18, 2026 (SPS) – The National Council concluded today, Sunday, the proceedings of the autumn session of its 12th parliamentary term, after approving the government program for the year 2026 and completing the agenda of the session, which included the evaluation of the government’s annual program for 2025 and the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Sahrawi National Council.
The session included an evaluation of the work of the National Council, the election of the Vice-President of the Council and the chairs of the committees, as well as the presentation, discussion, and voting on the draft annual government program, prior to the closing ceremony of the autumn session held today under the supervision of National Secretariat member, President of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, in the presence of Prime Minister Mr. Bouchraya Hamoudi Beyoun and members of both the legislative and executive bodies.
The National Council began the work of its autumn session on November 26, 2025, it should be recalled.
