Algiers, December 30, 2025 (SPS) – The Secretary-General of the UJSARIO (Union of Sahrawi Youth of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro) participated as a guest of honor in the Algerian Forum for Civil Society Movement and Citizenship, held in Algiers on December 29-30.
The forum was organized under the high patronage of the Minister of Youth in charge of the Algerian Supreme Youth Council and the Minister-Governor of Algiers. It was supervised by the Directorate of Youth and Sports for the Province of Algiers, with active contribution from the El-Anis Association for Youth Activities.
In his opening session speech, UJSARIO Secretary-General praised Algeria's steadfast and supportive position regarding the Sahrawi cause throughout 50 years of shared struggle, expressing the Sahrawi people's gratitude for this principled and unwavering support.
He also lauded the pioneering role played by Algerian youth organizations—led by the Supreme Youth Council—in promoting the values of solidarity, citizenship, and the defense of just causes.
This participation served as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Sahrawi youth and their Algerian counterparts, reaffirming the depth of the historical and struggle-based ties that unite the two peoples.
