Shaheed El Hafed, 22 December 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, issued a presidential decree establishing the National Committee supervising the preparatory process for the events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
The statement said: “Based on the powers vested in him by the Constitution and the Basic Law of the Polisario Front, and in preparation for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Brahim Ghali, President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, issued a presidential decree today, Monday, establishing the National Committee supervising the preparatory process for the events commemorating this landmark occasion.”
The Committee is composed of the Prime Minister, Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoun, as Chair; the Head of the Secretariat for Political Organization, Amrabih El Mami Dai, as Vice-Chair; in addition to members from the government, the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army, the Secretariat for Political Organization, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
