Shaheed El Hafed, 22 December 2025 (SPS) – The National Council held Monday a special session to assess its performance over the past year, in accordance with the provisions of the National Council’s rules of procedure, which stipulate the preparation of a comprehensive annual report covering the most important activities, visits, and meetings within the remit of the Council’s committees and offices.
This is based on monthly narrative and financial reports, visits, minutes of meetings and encounters, and annual evaluations, for the purpose of follow-up and oversight entrusted to the National Council.
During the session, chaired by member of the National Secretariat, President of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, Council members discussed the main points addressed in the comprehensive report prepared by the Council Bureau on the most significant activities during the period under review.
The report addressed the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the National Council, the reception of the Algerian–Sahrawi parliamentary brotherhood and friendship delegation, and the inauguration of the new administrative headquarters of the National Council.
It also highlighted the participation of the President of the National Council as guest of honor at the 5th session of the Pan-African Parliament, the establishment of the Mexican–Sahrawi parliamentary group, the reception of a number of foreign delegations at the National Council headquarters, and the participation of members, committees, and offices of the National Council in various national activities and events.
