Wilaya of Smara, 17 December 2025 (SPS) – National Secretariat member, Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, received the Economic and Trade Counselor of the Cuban Embassy in Algeria at the Simón Bolívar National School for Secondary Education.
The meeting, attended by the school director, the head of the Cuban education mission at the school, and members of the mission, took place within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries, particularly in the fields of education and training.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to develop the educational partnership and to learn about the educational experience adopted at the school.
During the meeting, the minister briefed the guest on the latest developments in the national cause, praising Cuba’s steadfast and honorable positions in support of just causes around the world and its constant support for the struggle of the Sahrawi people. For her part, the counselor expressed her admiration for the Sahrawi experience in institutional building.
The Economic and Trade Counselor also toured the school’s facilities, where she reviewed the educational programs and pedagogical activities, commending the efforts made to raise the level of education and strengthen educational values.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and joint work in a manner that serves the interests of the education sector and strengthens the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
