Algiers, 07 December 2025 (SPS) – The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Mouloud Mohamed Fadel, participated Saturday in the fourth edition of the African Startup Congress, hosted by Algeria from 5 to 7 December 2024.

This major continental event, organized by the Algerian Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, serves as a strategic platform to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa.

The 2024 edition is held under the theme: “Reimagining Africa through Artificial Intelligence,” with the participation of more than 25,000 attendees, including entrepreneurs, experts, investors, and government representatives.

The Congress features the participation of over 35 African ministerial delegations, around 200 exhibitors, and 300 international experts.

Through its participation, the Sahrawi delegation aims to reinforce the presence of the Sahrawi state in African spaces dedicated to the knowledge economy, and to engage with continental experiences in digital innovation, startup development, and artificial intelligence. This contributes to national plans to support young entrepreneurs and empower Sahrawi talents in modern technology fields.

The Sahrawi delegation is expected to hold a series of meetings with African counterparts, investors, and incubating institutions, opening new prospects for cooperation in supporting innovation and developing youth-driven digital projects in the Sahrawi Republic.
