Nouakchott (Mauritania), 07 December 2025 (SPS) — Mauritanian political parties have renewed their support for the Sahrawi people, their just cause, and their legitimate right to freedom and self-determination.
This came during meetings between the heads of these parties and the Presidential Advisor, Mr. Saleck Babiya.
In this regard, the head of the Virtue Party, Mr. Othman Sheikh Abou Al-Maali, reaffirmed his party’s support for the Sahrawi people and their just cause. Similarly, the head of the Welfare Party, Mr. Mohamed Ould Fal, renewed his support for the Sahrawi cause, highlighting Mauritanian–Sahrawi relations and the ties between the two brotherly peoples.
The President of the Republican Front for Unity and Democracy, Mr. Diop Amadou Tijane, affirmed his full support for the Sahrawi people in their legitimate struggle for freedom and self-determination.
Leaders of the Alliance for Justice and Democracy Party also reaffirmed their firm position in support of the Sahrawi people.
