Shaheed El-Hafed, 01 December 2025 (SPS) – The Ministry of Public Health launched today, Saturday, the national campaign for vaccination against polio.
The campaign, which covers all wilayas, was initiated by the Central Directorate of Prevention and the Directorate of Information and Awareness. It is supervised by specialized vaccination teams and awareness teams at the regional and local levels.
These teams also aim to raise comprehensive health awareness on ways to prevent polio, emphasizing the importance of vaccination as an effective preventive measure to avoid paralysis. They called for adherence to the preventive measures outlined for this purpose, in addition to providing citizens with messages and explanations about polio — its causes, symptoms, and methods of prevention.
The awareness activities target local festivals in localities, local clinics, educational institutions, and various public facilities at the local, regional, and national levels, as well as commercial markets.
