Shaheed El-Hafed, November 9, 2025 (SPS) – Tifariti University has presented the second edition of its scientific journal.
The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, along with directors and heads of institutes affiliated with the university, as well as specialized researchers.
According to the Director-General of Higher Education, Dean of Tifariti University, Mr. Moulay Mhamed Brahim, the scientific journal includes nine academic articles of political and cultural nature. These articles present the Sahrawi perspective on the role of MINURSO, the Sahrawi vision for resolving the conflict, the concept of so-called “autonomy” and the impossibility of applying it as a solution to the Western Sahara conflict, as well as the role of media in raising awareness about the Sahrawi cause.
The journal also features an article about Sahrawi tea written by Mohamed Ali Laman, and a review of the book Polisario: The Spirit of a People by the writer Ahmed Baba Miska.
The second edition of the journal was edited by a group of Sahrawi doctors and professors in collaboration with foreign academics.
Mr. Moulay Mohamed added that Tifariti University aims, through this journal, to gain access to international digital platforms by showcasing its scientific, cultural, and intellectual output — especially since the university is already recognized by several major research centers and universities.
Tifariti University also seeks to make the scientific journal a key reference for researchers and students, who often face a shortage of information resources.
