Shaheed El Hafed, November 4, 2025 (SPS) – The International Women’s March has expressed its solidarity with and support for the Sahrawi people and their right to freedom and self-determination.
In a statement issued following the adoption of the latest UN Security Council Resolution 2797/2025, the movement renewed its support for the Sahrawi people’s right to freedom and self-determination, strongly condemning unilateral initiatives aimed at bypassing international legitimacy and undermining the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination and independence.
The statement added that such initiatives constitute a blatant violation of international law and a clear disregard for the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, as affirmed by United Nations and African Union resolutions.
It further stressed that these initiatives are merely attempts to legitimize the Moroccan occupation and erase the just and legitimate demands of the Sahrawi people.
The International Women’s March reaffirmed its support for the National Union of Sahrawi Women and the Polisario Front, the sole and legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people, praising the strength, resilience, and leadership of Sahrawi women in their struggle against the occupation.
