Shaheed El Hafed, October 28, 2025 (SPS) – Members of the political and administrative unit in Shaheed El Hafed, along with the masses and authorities of the Wilaya of Boujdour, organized massive popular marches today, Tuesday.

The demonstrations began at the public square in Boujdour and proceeded to the headquarters of the wilaya to express their absolute and unequivocal rejection of any attempt—regardless of its source—to circumvent the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, as stipulated by UN Security Council resolutions and international legitimacy.

Participants chanted slogans rejecting the U.S. draft resolution that seeks to divert the Sahrawi issue from its international framework and to undermine the Sahrawi people’s legitimate right to exercise their right to freedom and independence, demanding full self-determination for the Sahrawi people.

During the large protest march, demonstrators carried banners under the slogan: “We will not allow the law of force to prevail over the rule of law in Western Sahara.” They also waved Sahrawi national flags and held placards reading:

“No to autonomy, independence for Western Sahara is coming,”

“Yes to the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination,”

“No stability, no peace before return and full independence.”

Similar marches were held yesterday, Monday, across the wilayas of El Aaiun and Smara, where the Sahrawi masses from all sectors reaffirmed their firm commitment to their right to self-determination and independence, and their determination to continue their struggle—no matter how long it takes.
