London (United Kingdom), October 21, 2025 (SPS) – The British Parliament hosted a photo and publication exhibition on the Sahrawi cause under the title “Sands and Visions: Fifty Years of Exile and Occupation in Western Sahara.” The event was attended by political and academic figures, as well as representatives of civil society.
Members of the British Labour Party took part in the opening of the exhibition, along with the representation of the Polisario Front in the United Kingdom, the presidents of the Olive Branch Association and the Western Sahara Campaign, as well as students, researchers, and members of the Sahrawi community residing in Britain.
The exhibition, held in one of the Parliament’s halls for a week, showcases photographs and publications documenting daily life in the Sahrawi refugee camps.
The photos were produced by Sahrawi citizens who received photography training from the Olive Branch Arts Association. They depict scenes of resilience and dignity within the camps, while the publications highlight the history of the conflict in Western Sahara since 1975, following Morocco’s brutal occupation of parts of the Sahrawi Republic’s territory.
