Caracas (Venezuela), October 21, 2025 (SPS) – The President of Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela stressed in her opening speech at the launch of the El-Ouali Mustapha Sayed Center for Free Studies the importance of the Sahrawi cause as a national liberation struggle.
She affirmed that “solidarity and support constitute two fundamental pillars between Venezuela and the Sahrawi Republic in their quest for liberation.”
The Dean of the Bolivarian University emphasized that “through its academic programs, the university seeks to encourage students to appreciate the deep cultural, geographical, and historical roots that unite the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean with the peoples of Africa.”
The event was attended by the Sahrawi Ambassador to Venezuela, who delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he elaborated on the history of the Sahrawi Republic.
