Wilaya of El Aaiun, October 6, 2025 (SPS) - The authorities and the masses of the Wilaya of El Aaiun commemorated the 50 Anniversary of National Unity today, Monday.
The event was attended by the Official of the Political Organization Secretariat, National Secretariat Member Mr. Emrabih Mami Dai, along with members of the National Secretariat, the Government, the Consultative Council, in addition to the authorities and masses of the Wilaya.
The event commenced with a speech by the Wali (Governor) of the Wilaya, Mr. Ghouth Mamouni, in which he welcomed the attending delegations from the Secretariat and the Government, recalling the significance and implications of the National Unity event.
Mr. Ghouth Mamouni added that the National Unity event is an irreversible historical achievement, under which numerous gains have been realized, and through it, all enemy attempts to eliminate the Sahrawi people have been shattered.
The celebration was marked by parades from school groups and other folkloric troupes. Furthermore, some artistic tableaux, created by Sahrawi civil society actors, depicted the difficult conditions endured by the Sahrawi people throughout this struggle, as well as the continuity between successive Sahrawi generations engaged in this liberation struggle under the leadership of the Polisario Front.
