Shaheed El-Hafed, September 19, 2025 (SPS) - Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar, Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Polisario Front Representative to the United Nations and Coordinator with MINURSO, announced that Mr. Staffan de Mistura, the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara, is expected to begin a visit to the Sahrawi party starting tomorrow, .
The Sahrawi diplomat added in a press statement that this visit, the fifth of its kind, is part of the consultations and meetings held by the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara with the two parties to the conflict, the Polisario Front and the occupying state of Morocco, ahead of the UN Security Council consultations session in October. During this session, the Personal Envoy is expected to brief the members of the Security Council.
