Algiers, September 13, 2025 (SPS) - The President of Algeria's Guidance and Reform Association, Mr. Makki Qassoum, reaffirmed Algeria's support and solidarity with the Sahrawi people during a celebration organized by the Association on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday and the 36th anniversary of the Association's founding.
During the event, which was attended by the ambassador to Algeria, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Khatri Adouh, and a large number of representatives from State institutions, political parties, and civil society, the Association's president reiterated the commitment to work in solidarity with the Sahrawi people and their just struggle. He highlighted the resilience and sacrifices of the Sahrawi people over more than 50 years in their pursuit of freedom and independence. The president also announced the organization of a support and solidarity convoy for the Sahrawi people, which will be the 18th of its kind.
On this occasion, which was held by the Association at the cultural center of the Great Mosque of Algiers, speeches were delivered addressing Algeria's history of liberation struggle and the ongoing development efforts in various fields in the new Algeria.
