Shaheed El-Hafed, September 10, 2025 (SPS) - The Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front.
The meeting, which was a continuation of the one held on September 5, included a presentation on the Sahrawi State's participation in both the African Union summit with the CARICOM group of nations and the African Union Climate Summit, which were hosted by the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, from 7 to 10 September.
The two summits witnessed distinguished attendance by the Sahrawi State, which was an opportunity to strengthen relations of friendship, cooperation, and consultation with numerous countries in the Caribbean and Africa, and to solidify our country's standing within the continental organization.
The meeting reflected on the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the National Unity Proclamation, regarding it as a milestone of profound historical significance. This occasion should serve as a renewed moment of self-reflection, and as a powerful message of strength, unity, and fidelity to the covenant of the martyrs. It emphasized the commitment to continue on their enlightened path under the leadership of the Polisario Front until the full sovereignty of the Sahrawi State over its entire national territory is achieved.
The Permanent Bureau also stressed the necessity of providing all elements for a successful 2025/2026 social season, praising the success of the national conference and regional conferences on education. It reviewed the ongoing preparations in other areas to be covered by the social season, highlighting the importance of everyone's contribution, each from their position, to ensure the success of these milestones.
