Algiers, September 4, 2025 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, participated today, Thursday, in the opening of the Fourth Intra-African Trade Fair in Algiers.
The Algerian President, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, kicked off at the International Centre of Conferences (CIC) “Abdelatif Rahal,” the works of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025).
The official opening ceremony was attended by participating Heads of State and delegations’ leaders, senior government officials, and the government’s members.
The first day's agenda at the CIC features “Algeria Day,” organized by the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI). This will include sessions showcasing Algeria's reforms and investment opportunities, while highlighting the country's role in regional and global value chains.
Algiers is hosting, from 4th to 10th September, the 4th IATF under the slogan “Gateway to New Opportunities,” bringing together delegations from 140 countries and over 2,000 companies from Africa and beyond, including nearly 200 Algerian companies.
About 35,000 professional visitors are expected to attend this edition, which is expected to result in the conclusion of commercial and investment agreements valued at USD44 billion.
The program of the event, organized by Algeria, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) which initiated this trade fair, the African Union Commission, and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, features multiple themes and activities.
