Kampala (Uganda), August 26, 2025 (SPS) - The President of the National Council, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mr. Hamma Salama, arrived today, Tuesday, in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, representing the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, at the congress of the Ugandan National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Upon his arrival at the airport, Mr Hamma Salama was received by the head of foreign relations for the NRM party, accompanied by several officials from the Ugandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is worth noting that the party will hold its congress on 27-28 August.
The Republic of Uganda has recognized the Sahrawi Republic since September 1979, and the two countries maintain strong diplomatic relations.
