Boumerdès, August 11, 2025 (SPS) – Mr. Mrabih Al-Mami Dai, head of the Political Organization Secretariat and president of the Summer University, stressed the importance of Sahrawi executives benefiting from the rich academic content presented during the 13th edition of the Polisario Front and Sahrawi State Summer University in Boumerdès, Algeria.
At the conclusion of the scheduled lectures, the National Secretariat member praised the efforts of the speakers in guiding Sahrawi executives and delivering valuable lectures across political, social, cultural, media, and security fields. These sessions focused on decolonizing occupied Western Sahara, exposing the crimes of colonialism, expansionism, and settlement, as well as the plundering of Sahrawi natural resources and the pursuit of compensatory justice.
The Political Organization official also highlighted that the Summer University served as a platform for solidarity with the resistance in the occupied territories and Sahrawi civilian prisoners in Moroccan occupation jails, who continue to exemplify resilience and sacrifice for all freedom-loving people worldwide.
He emphasized the necessity of supporting them, standing in solidarity, and advocating for their unconditional release.
The Sahrawi official further addressed the role of identity in countering the occupation’s assimilation schemes, which have failed due to the Sahrawi people’s steadfast attachment to their national identity and pride.
Additionally, the National Secretariat member discussed security challenges in the Sahara-Sahel region and the Sahrawi Republic’s role in regional cooperation. He underscored its responsibilities in safeguarding neighboring countries' interests against Morocco’s involvement in organized crime, terrorism, and money laundering, which aim to destabilize the region.
