President Brahim Ghali offers condolences to his Ghanaian counterpart following death of two ministers in military helicopter crash

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), August 7, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, sent a letter of condolence to the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, following the crash of a Ghanaian Armed Forces helicopter, which resulted in the deaths of Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others.

In his message, President Brahim Ghali expressed his "sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to his Ghanaian counterpart, and through him, to the brotherly government and people of Ghana," reaffirming "the solidarity of the Sahrawi people and government with the people of Ghana and the families of the victims during this painful time."
