Boumerdès (Algeria), August 2, 2025 (SPS) – Boumerdès Province in Algeria will host tomorrow, Sunday, the 13th edition of the Summer University for executives of the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi State, named after the martyr Dah Bendir. This year's theme is "Struggle and Sacrifice to Achieve Full Independence and Freedom."
The Summer University, which Boumerdès has consistently hosted under the supervision of the Algerian Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People and in coordination with the Sahrawi Embassy in Algeria, will serve as an open forum to discuss developments in the Sahrawi cause across various fields.
Over the years, the Summer University has become an annual event and a key moment of solidarity, offering Sahrawi officials and Polisario Front executives an opportunity to deepen their knowledge, refine their experiences, and enhance their capabilities. The goal is to strengthen the institutional development of the Sahrawi State—both now and in the future—while addressing rapid global and regional changes. This comes at a critical time, marked by direct confrontation with the Moroccan occupation on all fronts amid a world undergoing significant transformations.
The program will include a series of lectures covering the Sahrawi issue from political, legal, and human rights perspectives. These discussions will contribute to building and refining the leadership framework of Sahrawi institutions, taking into account the current regional and international context.
Sahrawi officials and Polisario Front execitives arrived in Boumerdès, where all necessary conditions have been met to ensure the success of this edition.
