Shaheed El-Hafed, July 14, 2025 (SPS) - As part of its political and training program, the Students Union of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro (UESARIO) organized a lecture today, Monday, titled "The Sahrawi Cause in the Balance of International Diplomacy: Between Pressure of Great Powers and Prospects for Settlement." The event took place at the headquarters of the Union of Sahrawi Journalists, Writers, and Artists (UPES).
The lecture, facilitated by Sidi Mohamed Omar, member of the National Secretariat, Polisario Front Representative to the United Nations, and Coordinator with MINURSO, saw wide participation from various national actors. It opened an in-depth discussion on the UN settlement process, highlighting the latest developments.
The lecture included contributions from young elites discussing the necessity of defending the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence, creating the foundations for resilience and challenge, and raising awareness of the issue through various political, media, diplomatic, and human rights platforms.
