Occupied El Aaiún, June 20, 2025 (SPS) – Sahrawi activists were violently assaulted yesterday, Thursday, by Moroccan occupation forces following their participation in an event commemorating the 55th anniversary of the historic Zemla Uprising, according to a Sahrawi human rights source.

Moroccan occupation forces, in both civilian and official uniforms, carried out a brutal attack on the participants, including:

Daddash Mohamed, President of the Sahrawi Committee for the Defense of the Right to Self-Determination,

Mustafa Dah, member of the Sahrawi Body Against Moroccan Occupation (ISACOM),

Brahim Freik, a human rights defender.

Morocco intensifies its crackdown on protests, banning any commemoration of Sahrawi resistance.
