.Shaheed El Hafed, June 10, 2025 (SPS) – The Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front affirmed that all attempts aimed at undermining the rights of the Sahrawi people are doomed to abject failure and that the issue of Western Sahara, as a decolonization matter, cannot be resolved outside the exercise of the right to self-determination and independence.
The Permanent Bureau, in a statement concluding its meeting chaired by the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, addressed an appeal from the Sahrawi side to the United Nations Security Council, urging it to fulfill its obligations and assume its responsibilities in compelling the Moroccan occupier to immediately remove the obstacles preventing the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) from carrying out the task for which it was established.
The Permanent Bureau also warned against the maneuvers of the Moroccan occupier and those behind it, which are aimed at undermining peace in Western Sahara based on full respect for international legitimacy resolutions and the principles of international law. These actions will have severe consequences for international security and stability and will not, in the end, deter the Sahrawi people from continuing their national struggle by all legitimate means and methods, no matter the sacrifices required.
