
Shaheed El Hafed, May 12, 2025 (SPS) – A delegation representing SPIN (Sport Inclusion Network), an Austria-based organization headquartered in Vienna, arrived yesterday in the Sahrawi refugee camps for a solidarity visit to institutions of the Sahrawi state.
The visit, coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, began with a welcoming meeting today. The delegation was received by the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Mustapha Mohamed Fadel, accompanied by the Central Director of Domestic Education, Sheikh Aya.
The meeting served as an opportunity to welcome the delegation and express the ministry’s full readiness to ensure the success of the visit while strengthening future cooperation, particularly in the field of school activities and youth engagement.
The delegation also held talks with Hasanito Mohamed Ashballah, the Minister of Youth and Sports and a member of the National Secretariat, who provided an overview of the current state of Sahrawi sports and the challenges it faces.
For their part, delegation members expressed their commitment to leveraging the outcomes of this visit to implement programs supporting the Sahrawi people in sports, particularly extracurricular activities, school engagement initiatives, and the inclusion of people with special needs.
