Shaheed Al-Hafed, May 5, 2025 (SPS) – At the headquarters of the General Union of Workers of Saguia El-Hamra and Rio de Oro (UGTSARIO), Mr. Amarbih Mami Dai, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, head of the Political Organization Secretariat, oversaw the handover of the General Secretariat of the UGTSARIO to the newly elected leadership, chosen during the proceedings of the 10th UGTSARIO Congress.
In his speech on the occasion, the head of the Political Organization Secretariat stressed the importance of preserving national unity and intensifying the struggle until the Sahrawi people achieve their independence. He praised the outcomes of the 10th UGTSARIO Congress, highlighting the necessity of renewing organizational structures within the legally mandated timeframes.
For his part, the newly elected Secretary-General of the UGTSARIO, Nafei Ahmed Mohamed, affirmed the moral and legal responsibility of the new leadership of the UGTSARIO to advance toward a promising future for Sahrawi workers, making them a model to emulate in defending the Sahrawi people's right to freedom and independence.
The new leadership received various documents, including inventories, agreements, treaties, and the UGTSARIO’s premises.
