El-Aaiun (Occupied Territories), May 6, 2024 (SPS) - Moroccan occupation authorities seized the right of a Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Brahim Daddi Ismaili, from the group of Gdeim Izik, to receive medical treatment and prevented him from being transferred to the hospital for medical examinations, according to the Sahrawi Prisoners Protection Association.

The family of the Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Brahim Daddi Ismaili, informed the Sahrawi Prisoners Protection Association that the administrators of Ait-Melloul 2 prison canceled scheduled medical appointments at an external hospital where Brahim Daddi Ismaili was supposed to undergo medical examinations for his back, ears, and knee on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

The administrators of Ait-Melloul 2 prison informed the Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Brahim Daddi Ismaili, of the decision issued by the General Delegation for the Administration of Moroccan Prisons, without providing any justifications explaining the reasons for canceling the medical appointments associated with his right to receive medical treatment.

It is worth noting that the Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Brahim Daddi Ismaili, suffers from several illnesses for which he has not received the necessary treatment and medication as a result of years of arbitrary detention, in addition to the torture and various forms of severe mistreatment inflicted upon him.
