Shaheed El-Hafed, April 26, 2024 (SPS) - The National Secretariat of the Polisario front, in a statement issued at the conclusion of its fourth ordinary session, called on Spain to assume its historical, legal, political, and ethical responsibilities as the administering power of the territory of Western Sahara, in order to enable the Sahrawi people to exercise its right to self-determination.
The National Secretariat also appealed to the French government to stop supporting the Moroccan aggression and expansion in Western Sahara, due to its negative implications on peace and security in the region. It affirmed that international legitimacy stands alongside the struggle of the Sahrawi people and its just cause, as confirmed by various courts, including the International Court of Justice, the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights, and European courts.
