Berlin, 25 April 2024 (SPS) - In recent days, several European capitals have witnessed a widespread solidarity campaign with the Western Sahara issue through the initiation of various cultural and sports events aimed at introducing the struggle of the Sahrawi people against Moroccan occupation.

In this context, the headquarters of the German Association for International Solidarity hosted a photographic exhibition to introduce the struggle of Sahrawi women titled "From Originality  to Liberation Struggle: A Glimpse into the Excellence of Sahrawi Women." The exhibition was attended by a number of citizens, visitors, and residents of the German capital, Berlin.

Najat Handi, the representative of the Polisario Front in Germany, gave a brief presentation on the history of the liberation struggle of the Sahrawi people.

Moreover, the Swiss city of Geneva witnessed a series of meetings and seminars this week, actively organized by members of the "Race for Western Sahara" campaign led by the Swedish cyclists Sanna Ghotbire and Benjamin Ladraa. They are cycling through three continents to raise awareness about the Western Sahara issue.

It is worth mentioning that the Swedish cyclists' journey to shed light on the reality and suffering of the Sahrawi people due to the Moroccan military occupation will continue towards France, Portugal, and Spain, culminating in the Sahrawi refugee camps.
