Arab International Conference of Solidarity with Sahrawi People: Pledge to continue advocating for right to self-determination until freedom and independence are achieved

Shaheed El Hafed (Refugee Camps), 18 April 2024 (SPS) - The participants in the Arab International Conference in Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, held in the Shaheed  El-Hafed, Sahrawi  refugee camp, renewed their solidarity with the Sahrawi people in their just struggle against the Moroccan occupation and condemned the occupier's crimes against Sahrawi civilians. They pledged to continue advocating for the right to self-determination until independence is achieved for the Sahrawi people.

The Arab participants in the conference reiterated their solidarity with the Sahrawi people in their legitimate struggle against the Moroccan occupation and condemned the Moroccan occupier's crimes, including repression, torture, assassination, and forced displacement of Sahrawi civilians. They affirmed their commitment to advocating for the rights of the Sahrawi people until they attain freedom and independence.

The participants emphasized the legal nature of the Sahrawi issue as a decolonization case that must be completed as the last colony in Africa.

In the closing statement, which concluded the conference proceedings, the conference stressed the need to win the media battle on the Arab and international levels and to raise awareness about the Sahrawi issue. They also emphasized the importance of countering the Moroccan occupier's black propaganda and its hired mouthpieces.
